Meaning and how to use :

taking the opportunity when doing something, do other thing. Do additional thing when doing something

For example

Kouen o sanpo suru tsuide ni, gomi o dashinasai.
when you go for a walk at the park, (take that opportunity to) take the garbage out.

pekin ni iku shucchou no tsuide ni, shanhai o yotte, tomodachi ni ai masu.
while going to Beijing for business, (i took that opportunity to) go to Shanghai to visit my friend.

tomodachi no ie ni iki masu. Tsuide ni, sūpā de kaimono o shi masu.
I will go to visit my friend, and (take that opportunity to) go shopping at the supermarket.

gaishutsu suru tsuide ni, tegami o dashi masu.
I go out and (take that opportunity to) bring letter to the post office .

tanaka san ga suugaku shukudai o suru tsuide ni, wakara nai tokoro o oshie te morai mashi ta.
while Tanaka do the math excercise, i was tought what i didn’t understand
