Meaning and how to use :

It is used to ask the listeners to indirectly do something. This structure has the particle, which describe the meaning “the speaker has just thought of it” or “add the hesitation of the speaker to the sentence”. When adding particle, the imposing meaning will become softer.

Example:

食料が足りないので、買いに行ってもらおうか。
Shokuryou ga tarinai node, kaini itte moraou ka.
Since we don’t have enough food, please go to buy more.

ちょっとこれを見せてもらおうか。
Chotto kore wo misete moraou ka.
Please show me this one a little bit.

今時間がないので、他人に頼んでもらおうか。
Ima jikan ga ani node tanin ni tanonde moraou ka.
I don’t have time now, so please ask someone else.

この点私も分からないので、先生に聞いてもらおうか。
Kono ten watashi mo wkaaranai node sensei ni kiitemoraou ka.
I don’t understand this point either, so please ask the teacher.

あの言葉の意味を教えてもらおうか。
Ano kotoba no imi wo oshiete moraou ka.
Please tell me the meaning of that word.
