Nめく

Meaning and how to use :

Describing the meaning the subject has the properties, factors that N has. It only comes with limited nouns.

Examples:

この地方の天気は夏めいてきた。
Kono chihou no tenki wa natsumeite kita.
The weather in this area is like summer.

彼女はフランス人ですが、ドイツ人めいたアクセントがあります。
Kanojo wa furansuhitodesuga, doitsunin meita akusento ga arimasu.
She is French but has an accent like a German.

あの人はもう二十歳なのに、子供めいた行動がよくします。
Ano hito wa mou hatachinanoni, kodomo meita koudou ga yoku shimasu.
That person is already 20 years old but often behaves like a child.

あの子はまだ中学生なのに、ときどき大人めいた考えがあります。
Ano ko wa mada chuugakuseinanoni, tokidoki otona meita kangae ga arimasu.
That child is still a junior high school student but sometimes thinks like an adult.

女ですが、男めく住んでいる人が多いです。
Onna desuga, otoko meku sunde iru hito ga ooidesu.
Although they are female, there are many people living like men.

Note: When complementing for noun, we use「NめいたN」
