JLPT N4 Grammar lesson 6. Hi everyone! In this article, LearnJapanesedaily will introduce to you the JLPT N4 Grammar. Each lesson will consist of about 5 structures for you to learn step by step and have more time to practise.

Grammar structure number 26 :

~ておく(ておきます)

Formation :

Vておく

Explanation :

have done, did
describe finished, completed action in the past.
leave, keep or retain status.

Example and meaning :

1.お弁当(べんとう)を作(つく)っておきて、学校(がっこう)へ行(い)く。
I’ve already cooked my bento before going to school.
2.宿題(しゅくだい)をそこに置(お)いておいて、掃除(そうじ)をしなさい。
Leave your homework there, go clean up.

Grammar structure number 27 :

~てくれう

Formation :

Vて+くれる

Explanation :

make somebody do something for you

Example and meaning :

1.教(おし)えてくれない。
Can you teach me?
2.兄(あに)は私(わたし)を公園(こうえん)に連(つ)れてくれた。
My brother took me to the park.

Grammar structure number 28 :

~てしまう

Formation :

Vてしまう

Explanation :

to miss, forget something ~

Expresses the speaker’s regret.

Example and meaning :

1.帽子(ぼうし)を忘(わす)れてしまった。
I forgot my hat.
2.弟(おとうと)のパンを食(た)べてしまった。
I accidentally ate my brother’s cake.

Grammar structure number 29 :

~でしょう~

Formation :

Vる+でしょう
Aい+でしょう
Aな (remove な)+でしょう

Explanation :

maybe,
describe anticipation based on received information.
for interrogative sentences, this structure is used to question the listener’s opinion.

Example and meaning :

1. 明日(あした)は雪(ゆき)が吹(ふ)くでしょう。
It might snow tomorrow.
2.それが続(つづ)くと、大変たいへんでしょう。
Isn’t it will be difficult if it keeps going at this rate.

Grammar structure number 30 :

~てほしい

Formation :

Vてほしい

Explanation :

want somebody to do so something for you.

Example and meaning :

1.その先生(せんせい)に教(おし)えてほしい。
I want to have that teacher to teach me.
2.君(きみ(のペンを貸(か)してほしい。
I want you to lend me a pen.
