~と同じ~
Formation :
~N + と同じ~
Explanation :
Similar with
Used to describe two things, events that look similar and have similar qualities.
Examples and examples’ meaning :
1.私(わたし)は田中(たなか)さんとクラスが同じです。
I and Tanaka are in the same class.
2.あのひとのスカートと同(おな)じものをください。
Give me a dress that is similar to that person’s.
Grammar structure 27 :
~ないことがある
Formation :
Vない + ことがある
Explanation :
Sometimes not…..
Examples and examples’ meaning :
1.仕事(しごと)のために寝(ね)ないことがある。
Because of work, sometimes I don’t sleep.
2.忙(いそが)しすぎたら、食(た)べないことがある。
If too busy, sometimes I don’t eat.
Grammar structure 28 :
~ないでください
Formation :
~Vないでください
How to convert to Vない:
V group I: row う~あ+ない
For example 行(い)く→行(い)かない
言(い)う→言(い)わない
V group II: Vます(minus ます)+ない
For example 食べます→食べない
V group III:
する→しない
来(く)る→来(こ)ない
Explanation :
Please don’t. Stop.
Used when you want to ask someone to stop.
Examples and examples’ meaning :
1.あいつを殴(なぐ)らないでください。
Please don’t hit him.
2.泣(な)かないでください。
Stop crying.
Grammar structure 29 :
~ないといけない
Formation :
Vない + といけない
Explanation :
To have to do something…
Examples and examples’ meaning :
1.作文(さくぶん)を書(か)かないといけない。
I have to write an essay.
2.薬(くすり)を飲(の)まないといけない。
I have to drink the meds.
Grammar structure 30 :
~なかなか~ない
Formation :
~なかなか~ない
Explanation :
Can never
なかなか is an adverb indicates the level, written before the verb and modifies the verb. It shows the effort to do something.
Examples and examples’ meaning :
1.彼(かれ)はなくなったお母(かあ)さんのことなかなか忘(わす)れない。
He can never forget his deceased mother.
2.なかなかわかりません。
I can never understand.
Above are five grammar structures of Level N5. See more structures in next pages
some transaltion are missing in the examples (i.e. example of grammar structure 6),
and some other are WRONG (example of grammar structure 9: 行きます = I go (usually) and not I went).

A list of little grammar structures is indeed very helpful to study o/
Just in the phrase 木の下に猫がいった, i think it translates to “There ‘was’ a cat under the tree”

Just a little thing, in the grammar structure 1, example 2
先生 の 英語 あもりがわからない
Sensei no eigo a mori ga wakaranai means “i don’t understand the english teacher”
