Formation :

なん+counter suffix+も

Meaning and how to use :

Emphasizes the high level or number of something.

Example:

何度も彼に注意したのに彼はまだ態度を変えない。
Nando mo kare ni chuuishita noni kare ha mada taido wo kaenai.
Although I warned him many times, he still does not change his attitude.

何回もアメリカに出張しました。
Nankai mo amerika ni shucchou shimashita.
I have had business trip to the United States many times.

何度も同じことを繰り返す。もううんざりだ。
Nando mo onaji koto ow kurikaesu. Mou unzari da.
You have repeated the same thing over and over. I’m sick of it.

何回も「出かける前に、電気を消しなさい」と母に言われていたのに忘れてしまった。
Nankai mo “dekakeru maeni, denki wo keshinasai” to haha ni iwareteita noni wasureteshimatta.
Although I have been told by my mother:” Remember to turn off the power before going out” a lot of times, I still forget it.

何年も田舎で子供を待っているのに彼らは帰らない。
Nannen mo inaka de kodomo wo matteiru noni karera ha kaeranai.
I have been waiting for my children in my home country for many years but they still do not return.
