Expresses the meaning “going through a period of time or a location, space..”

Examples:

1年を経て彼女に一度も会えない。
Ichi nen o he te kanojo ni ichi do mo ae nai.
It’s been a year since the last time I saw her.

彼は大学を経て大使館に申し込み届を提出する。
Kare ha daigaku o he te taishikan ni moushikomi todoke o teishutsu suru.
He sent his application to the embassy through colleges.

考えている半年を経て、父は最後の決定を出した。
Kangae te iru hantoshi o he te, chichi ha saigo no kettei o dashi ta.
After half a year of thinking, my father has made his final decision.

ヨロッパを経て、アメリカに行きます。
Yoroppa o he te, amerika ni iki masu.
Go to America through Europe.

いろいろな困難を経て、目的を達成する。
Iroiro na konnan o he te, mokuteki o tassei suru.
I’ve been through a lot of obstacles to get to the goal.
