Meaning and how to use :

asking somebody for help. In some circumtance, this structure is used to notify the listener (as in example 2).

Example

今はお腹がいっぱいなので、残りは食べてもらえるか。
Ima ha onaka ga ippai na node, nokori ha tabe te moraeru ka.
I’m feeling being full of food, so can you help me to eat the rest?

すいません、ここは公なので、失礼な言葉を使ってもらえないか。
suimasen, koko ha ooyake na node, shitsurei na kotoba o tsukatte morae nai ka.
Excuse me, this is public place so don’t use such bad word.

日本語がわからない。あの日本人が何を言っているか翻訳してもらえるか。
nihongo ga wakara nai. Ano nipponjin ga nani o itte iru ka honyaku shi te moraeru ka.
I don’t understand Japanese. Can you interprete what that Japanese person just said?

この材料がないよ。見せてもらえるか。
kono zairyou ga nai yo. Mise te moraeru ka.
I don’t have this document. Can you show me?

あのう、君が電器を修理することがうまいと言われるから、この電話修理してもらえるか。
ano u, kimi ga denki o shuuri suru koto ga umai to iwareru kara, kono denwa shuuri shi te moraeru ka.
Hey, people say that you repair electrical items. Could you please repair my phone?

Note:
+)when using “てもらえるか” at dictionary form,  “てもらえるか” is used with someone who has close relationship with the speaker, or who has lower position.
+)if “てもらえますか” is in polite form, it is used wider
+)you can use these following polite forms : 「てもらえないでしょうか」、「ていただけませんか」、「ていただけないでしょうか」
