Meaning and how to use :

Describe the meaning “May be…, so….”. The main clause is the second clause.

For example

音楽が好きだからか、いつも歌ったり楽器をしたりしている。
Ongaku ga suki da kara ka, itsumo utattari gakki o shi tari shi te iru.
Perhaps I like music, so I play instruments everytime.

どこか行きたいからか、彼はいらいらしている様子をする。
doko ka iki tai kara ka, kare ha iraira shi te iru yousu o suru.
He looks as if he’s impatient, maybe because he wants to go somewhere.

楽だからか、日本の警察はお粗末の事件を調査するそうだ。
raku da kara ka, nippon no keisatsu ha osomatsu no jiken o chousa suru sou da.
It must be because Japanese’s police have so much free time, they investigate even small cases.

年を取るからか、おじいさんはぼくの名前でも覚えていないと言います。
toshi o toru kara ka, ojiisan ha boku no namae de mo oboe te i nai to ii masu.
He may be so aged that he doesn’t even remember my name.

学校に近く家があるからか、彼女はのんびりしても遅刻しない。
gakkou ni chikaku ka ga aru kara ka, kanojo ha nonbiri shi te mo chikoku shi nai.
It’s must be because her house is near the school, so she is never late though she’s dilatory.

Note: The part going with “か”usually express reason, for example “せいか”, “からか”, “ためか”.
