Meaning and how to use :

Expresses the meaning “a status is staying still, doesn’t change.”.

Examples:

お爺さんはうまれながらにしてずっと横浜に住んでいる。
Ojiisan ha umare nagara ni shi te zutto yokohama ni sun de iru.
My grandfather has been living in Yokohama ever since he was born.

母は涙ながらにして、昔の飢餓きんのことを話している。
Haha ha namida nagara ni shi te, mukashi no kiga kin no koto o hanashi te iru.
My mother told her stories about the old poverty days in tears.

彼はいつもながらのレストランで寿司を注文しました。
Kare ha itsumo nagara no resutoran de sushi o chuumon shi mashi ta.
He ordered sushi in the restaurant as usual.

パソコンを通じて、私は居ながらにして、全部の講座に出席できるんだ。
Pasokon otsuujite, watashi ha i nagara ni shi te, zenbu no kouza ni shusseki dekiru n da.
Through a personal computer, I can join all the courses while staying at the same spot.

このおもちゃは昔ながらのやり方で作られた。
Kono omocha ha mukashinagara no yarikata de tsukurare ta.
This toy is made using the traditional way.
