Describing the meaning “at the moment the action is taking place, another action interrupts”

Example:

父は家を掃除したところで倒れてしまった。
Chichi ha ie wo souji shiat tokoro de taoreteshimatta.
My father fell down when he was cleaning the house.

私は料理を作ったところで友達が遊びに行きました。
Watashi ha ryouri wo tsukutta tokoro de tomodachi ga asobi ni kimashita.
My friend came to play when I was cooking.

歌ったところで雑音が入ってしまった。
Utattatokoro de zatsu on ga haitteshimatta.
When I was singing, the noise got in.

意見を述べたところで彼が遮った。
Iken wo nobeta tokoro de kare ga saegitta.
He interrupted when I was expressing my opinion.

学校に行ったところで怪しい男が私に近づいて話しかけた。
Gakkou ni ittatokoro de ayashii otoko ga watashi ni kizuite hanashi kaketa.
When I was going to school, a suspicious man approached and talked to me.
