Meaning and how to use :

Expressing the meaning “looks …”. Used when judging something through appearance.

Example:

山田さんが作った料理がいかにもおいしそうだ。
Yamada-san ga tsukutta ryouri ga ikanimo oishi souda.
The dish that Mr. Yamada made looks delicious.

そのゲームはいかにも楽しそうですが、実はとてもつまらないよ。
Sono geimu wa ikanimo tanoshi soudesuga, jitsuwa totemo tsumaranai yo.
That game looks fun, but it’s really boring.

あの人はいかにも悲しそうだが、実は心の中はとてもうれしいだ。
Ano hito wa ikanimo kanashi soudaga, jitsuwa kokoronouchi wa totemo ureshiida.
He looked sad but in fact he was very happy.

あの雑誌はいかにも面白そうですね。
Ano zasshi wa ikanimo omoshiroi soudesu ne.
That magazine looks interesting.

田中さんは一見すると、いかにも親切そうなひとですが、実は悪人です。
Tanaka-san wa ikken suru to, ikanimo shinsetsu souna hitodesuga, jitsuwa akunindesu.
Mr. Tanaka looks like a nice person but was actually a cruel person.

Note: When you add いかにも , the そうだ part is emphasized.
