JLPT N2 Grammar lesson 6. Hi everyone! In this article, LearnJapanesedaily will introduce to you the JLPT N2 Grammar. Each lesson will consist of about 5 structures for you to learn step by step and have more time to practise.

Structure 26:

V (minus ます) → Vがい

Explanation:

worth to do something.

For example:

やりがいのある仕事。
A job that is worth to do (a challenging job) .

教えがいのある生徒。
Students that are worth to be taught.

Structure 27:

Vてまで(も)Nまで Vて

Explanation:

To the point ~ / Even ~ (to show something extreme)

For example:

借金してまで海外旅行に行くなんて、私には信じられない。
He is not trustworthy to me, to the point that he has to borrow money to travel.

いやな思いまでして、彼女と付き合うことないよ。
Don’t have to associate with her (have a connection with her) to the level that you have to make you a bad memory.

親にうそをついてまで遊びに行きたくない。
I don’t want to go out to the point that I lie to my parents.

Structure 28:

V ( minus ます) → Vかける/ VかけのN/ Vかけだ。

Explanation:

In the middle of doing something.

For example:

読みかけの本が何冊もある。
I’m in the middle of reading this book, there are some pages I haven’t finished.

彼女は何か言いかけてやめた。
She was about to say something but she stopped.

私は子供のとき、病気で死にかけたことがある。
I almost died of disease when I was little.

Structure 29:

V ( minus ます) → V切る/ V切れる

Explanation:

Have done ~ / finished doing something.

For example:

この小説は面白くて、1日で読み切った。
This novel is very interesting, I had done reading in a day.

彼は疲れ切った顔をしている。
He looks completely exhausted.

Structure 30:

V ( minus ます) → Vえる/ Vえない/ Vうる

Explanation:

Able to do V/ It’s possible for V to happen.

For example:

博士でも間違うことはありえる。
Even a doctor sometimes makes mistakes.

これが私の知りうるすべての情報です。
This is everything I’m able to know.
