Formation :

as ”精々” is adverb, it can be put in different position

Meaning and how to use :

Describe ”Maximum” things, means ”though you tried your best, you can only…”, express highest level.

For example

あの会議室が小さいので、来る人はせいぜい30人くらいだ。
Ano kaigi shitsu ga chiisai node, kuru hito ha seizei san zero nin kurai da.
This the conference room is small, so there will be only a maximum of 30 people come.

世界で旅行すると言っても、精々アジアの中に旅行しますよ。
sekai de ryokou suru to itte mo, kiyoshi? ajia no naka ni ryokou shi masu yo.
Though I said I travelled around the world, I just travelled within Asia.

私の誕生日の日はせいぜい10人を誘いますよ。
watashi no tanjou bi no hi ha seizei ichi zero nin o sasoi masu yo.
I will invite a maximum of 10 people to my birthday party.

1日はせいぜい2時間くらいゲームをします。
ichi nichi ha seizei ni jikan kurai gēmu o shi masu.
I play game 2 hours maximum a day.

あのパソコンは高いと言われても、せいぜい20万円くらいですね?
ano pasokon ha takai to iware te mo, seizei ni zero man en kurai desu ne?
That computer is said to be expensive, but it cost 20000 yen maximum, right?

Note : ”精々” is usually used in ”精々…くらい” form or ”…が、精々だ” form
