Japanese grammar この/その/あの kono/ sono/ ano

Meaning and how to use :

This is words that combine with noun to modify an show it’s position.
+)この is used to indicate position of noun that is near the speaker or right at the speaker’s position, but is far the listener.
+) そのis used to indicate position of noun that is near the listener or right at the listener’s position, but is far the speaker.
+) あのis used to indicate position of noun that is far away from both speaker and listener.

For example

このノートはだれのですか。
Kono nōto ha dare no desu ka.
Whose is this notebook?

あの人はあなたのお兄さんですか。
ano hito ha anata no o niisan desu ka.
Is that man your brother?

クラスで一番高い人はその子です。
kurasu de ichiban takai hito ha sono ko desu.
The tallest person in the class is that child.

あの辞書は昨日買いましたよ。
ano jisho ha kinou kai mashi ta yo.
That dictionary is the one I bought yesterday.

この有名な作家は春木村上です。
kono yuumei na sakka ha haruki mura jou desu.
This famous author is Haruki Murakami.

note :
1, In case the speaker and the listener stand in the same position or near each other:
+) “この” indicates the place near by the 2 people,
+) “その” indicates an a bit farther position.
+) “あの” indicates an absolute farther position.
2, if adjective is used (liked in laste example), it will be put right before noun.
