Let’s learn Japanese grammar くらいの~しか~ない kuraino~shika~nai :

Formation :

…+くらいの…しか…ない

Meaning and how to use :

Only… at low level.  Event in the first clause is in low level, event in the 2nd one is not in higher level. Latter clause usually expresses impossible things.

For example

日本語を2年間勉強しましたが、簡単な普通の会話くらいしかできない。
Nihongo o ni nenkan benkyou shi mashi ta ga, kantan na futsuu no kaiwa kurai shika deki nai.
I have been studying Japanese for 2 years, but I can only speak in daily coversation topic.

権があまりないので、そこまでくらいしか助けられない。
ken ga amari nai node, soko made kurai shika tasukerare nai.
I dont have much power, so i can only help like that.

この店は高級な店ではないので、普通くらいのサービスしかされない。
kono mise ha koukyuu na mise de ha nai node, futsuu kurai no sābisu shika sare nai.
This is not a high class restaurant, so it can only serve such services.

血がたくさん欠けるのであの人は2時間くらいしか生きられない。
chi ga takusan kakeru node ano hito ha ni jikan kurai shika ikirare nai.
Because of lacking too much blood, that man can only live 2 more hours.

お金が足りないので、6冊の本くらいしか買えない。
okane ga tari nai node, roku satsu no hon kurai shika kae nai.
Because I don’t have enough money, I just buy 2 books.
