Meaning and how to use :

“Though, even though…”. The clause behind are usually comment, opinion, attitude that express speaker’s disapprovement.

For example

いくら才能があるにしろ、一所懸命頑張らなかったら成功できないよ。
Ikura sainō ga aru ni shiro, isshokenmei ganbara nakattara seikō deki nai yo.
No matter how talented you are, if you don’t try hard, you won’t succeed.

若い人であるにしろ、重い犯罪したら、絶対に罰される。
wakai hito de aru ni shiro, omoi hanzai shi tara, zettai ni bassareru.
Although you are young, you are commited seriously guilty, you are still punished.

大統領のお息子さんであるにしろ、君は交通規律を守らなきゃならない。
daitōryō no o musuko san de aru ni shiro, kimi wa kōtsū kiritsu o mamora nakya nara nai.
Although you are president’s son, you must obey the traffic law.

お金がなかったにしろ、他人のお金を盗んでいけない。
okane ga nakatta ni shiro, tanin no okane o nusun de ike nai.
Though you have no money, you mustn’t rob it from others.

旅行に行くにしろ、こんなに重い雨が降って楽しむなんかできない。
ryokō ni iku ni shiro, konnani omoi ame ga futte tanoshimu nanka deki nai.
It’s rainy, though we are travelling, we can not ẹnoy.
