Describe the meaning “want, wish” something. Is used to express your desire or ask about someone’s desire.

For example

お金がたくさんほしいです。
Okane ga takusan hoshii desu.
I want to have a lot of money.

温泉旅行がほしいな。
onsen ryokou ga hoshii na.
I want a trip to hot springs.

A:「今度のバレンタインは何がほしいか。」
B:「何もほしくない。あなたは私のそばにいてもういい」
A :「[?] kondo no barentain ha nani ga hoshii ka.’
B: ‘nani mo hoshiku nai. Anata ha watashi no soba ni i te mou ii’
A: “What do you want in this Valentine?”
B: “Nothing. I only need you by my side ” 広いアパートがほしいです。今のアパートはとても狭くて暗いです。
desu. Ima no apāto ha totemo semaku te kurai desu.
I want a wide flat. My own one is small and dark.

新しいパソコンがほしい。
atarashii pasokon ga hoshii.
I want a new PC.
